Mushrooms:

Mushrooms are widely used in cooking for their meaty texture. There are many varieties of edible mushrooms. We used white button mushrooms in the recipe. Alternatively, you may use any edible mushrooms of your choice. 2 cups freshly sliced and ½ cup finely chopped white mushrooms are used separately in the recipe.

Tomato Paste:

Tomato paste has an intense tomato flavor. 2 tablespoons of fresh tomato paste

makes our cream of mushroom sauce sweet and tangy. Furthermore, it improves the texture of the sauce.

Beef Broth:

Beef broth is a thick liquid made from boiling beef bones for a long time. It has extreme flavors from beef making any recipe rich when added. You can make beef broth yourself at home or you can go for a canned one. 2 cups of beef broth is needed in the recipe.

Seasonings:

Seasoning is salt, pepper, herbs, and other spices added to food to elevate the flavor.

In today’s recipe seasonings include bay leaf, salt, pepper, and ½ teaspoon dried parsley flakes.

Fresh Cream:

Cream is a dairy product made from a fat layer of milk. It is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory dishes. 2 tablespoons of fresh cream is used to create a smooth and creamy texture in the sauce.

Corn Starch:

Cornstarch is a flavorless thickening agent made from corn. It is usually used in sauces, gravies, and soups. 1 tablespoon of cornstarch is used in our recipe to improve texture.

Onion and Garlic:

I like the flavor of onion and garlic in any sauce. These have strong flavors to perfectly complement our sauteed mushrooms. 1 onion and 2 cloves of finely minced garlic is used to spice up our sauce.
