Most of the ingredients of this recipe are common and easy to find. Some of them are a bit exclusive but they would be available in the super shop. So, no worries if you haven’t them in your kitchen-  

  • Linguine (1 Packet)

You need 1 full packet of linguine to make this recipe. It can be a 12-ounce packet. Again it can be a small packet. Whatever you take you should keep the measurement of other ingredients in the right amount. 

  • Fresh Parsley (1 Cup)

Take 1 cup of fresh parsley and chop them into small pieces so they can be mixed properly.  It’s a herb just because of adds a nice flavor. So, you can substitute it with other herbs like mint or thyme.

  • Garlic (2 Cloves)

You need a small amount of garlic as well. So, 2 cloves will be perfect. But don’t forget to mince the cloves. If you want to get the real garlic punch to your recipe, you must add the minced garlic. 

  • Clam (2 Ounce)

To make today’s recipe, you’ll be required to have 2 ounces of clams. You can add 3 ounces as well depending on your serving size. Take the minced clams and drain the water from them. 

Since you’ll use the store-bought canned clams, they will come with additional water that has to drain first. Now set them aside for later use. You’l also have to reserve the drained liquid from your clams. 

  • Vegetable Oil (3 Tbsp)

If you can add a flavorful oil, your linguine will be more delicious. So, vegetable oil can be the best. You also can apply the olive oil instead. Apply whatever is available.

  • Chili Flakes (1 Tsp)

It’s optional to apply the chili flakes. If you like a little heat, add this ingredient or you should skip it. However, we would like to add the chili flakes of 1 tsp to our recipe. 

  • White Wine (2 Tbsp)

Usually, white wine comes with an acid element that helps tenderize the recipe. It will also spread a strong flavor and increase the taste of your recipe. So, you’ll need 2 tbsp of white wine. 

  • Dried Basil (1 Tsp)

Basil comes with a sweet fragrance that improves the complement for tomato-based dishes and also for sauce recipes. So, adding 1 tsp of dried basil will make your dish flavorful.

  • Salt (½ Tbsp)

To give a salty taste, take ½ tbsp of salt. After you cook the dish, check out whether the salt is perfect. If not, add more. 

How to Make Rocco’s Linguine and Clam Sauce

Since it’s a kind of pasta recipe, you’ll have to start cooking with the pasta. So, let’s begin-

Step-1

First, you need to fill a deep bottom saucepan with water and put it on the stove at high heat. Now add 2 tsp of salt and let the water boil for the first 10 minutes and then once the water is boiled give your linguine.

Now put a saucepan on your stove and keep the heat medium. Now add vegetable oil and let it warm. After that, add minced garlic and chili flakes. Saute them for 5 minutes.

Step-3

Once the garlic and chili flakes are sauteed lightly, add the separated liquid from the clams, chopped parsley, white wine, and salt. Now stir to mix all the ingredients properly and cook for 10 minutes.

Step-4

Once the sauce starts becoming thickened, add the drained minced clams and mix them well. Let it simmer at low heat.

Now go back to your pasta and check whether they are boiled well. If so, drain the water from the pasta. And then add them with your cooked clams’ white sauce. Mix them properly and make sure all the pasta is well coated.

Notes
