This hot sauce recipe will be prepared based on fruits where you’ll have to add different fruits. But, we’ll add pineapples. You can add fruits according to your preference. Here’s what you need to make this hot sauce recipe- 

  • Habanero Peppers (3)

We would like to get this sauce more hot and spicy. So, we’ll take 3 habanero peppers. You can reduce the amount to 2 if you want. Take the habanero and slice them in half. 

  • Onion (1/2)

Take a larger onion and chop it in half. Now you’ll chop the half onion into cube size. You need not to use more onion. Therefore, half an onion will be perfect. You either can apply a sweet onion or a regular white onion. We’ll apply the white onion. Both the onion types are perfect for this recipe. 

  • Ripe Pineapple (1/2)

Take ½ ripe pineapple and chop them into cube size. Make sure the pineapple is ripped well. But, it should not be overly ripped. 

  • Lime Juice (1 Lime)

Take a whole lime and squeeze the juice from it. You’ll need the juice of a whole lime. However, if you feel it’s difficult for you to get fresh lime juice, you can use store-bought lime juice as well. 

  • Fresh Ginger Paste (1 Tsp)

Take 1 tsp of fresh ginger paste. You can use ginger powder too. 

  • Marjoram & Cumin Powder (¼ Tsp)

To add an extraordinary flavor, you’ll be required to apply cumin and marjoram powder. But, apply a small amount. For this recipe, ¼ tsp of cumin powder and ¼ tsp of marjoram powder will be perfect. 

  • Vinegar (⅔ Cup)

Vinegar will add an excellent texture to your sauce. For this recipe, ⅔ cup of distilled vinegar will be perfect. 

  • Water (1 Cup)

You’ll also be required to have 1 cup of water. 

  • Sugar (2 Tsp)

Adding sugar will give a good taste to balance out the acidity of your hot sauce. You need 2 tsp of sugar for today’s sauce recipe. But, adding sugar is optional. If you want to skip it, you can. 

  • Salt (1 ¼ Tsp)

Adding a little amount of salt will help balance the taste of sweet and heat. So, take 1 ¼ tsp of salt. 

How to Make Nick Tahou’s Hot Sauce

This hot sauce recipe is still very simple if you have your fruits ready. Now you have all the ingredients ready, so let’s make your favorite hot sauce from 

Step-1

Put a deep bottom saucepan on the stove and add sliced onion, pineapple, habanero, and ginger to the saucepan. Now add water and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Now add sugar and salt to the simmered ingredients. Ensure the ingredients are softened.

Step-2

Once the ingredients are boiled well, remove the saucepan from your stove and allow it to be cold for 10 minutes. Now give the mixture to the blender and add vinegar and lime juice and blend all of them together.

Step-3

When you finish blending the simmered ingredients with vinegar and lime juice, add cumin, and marjoram powder to the mixture. Now blend them again.
