Ingredients

  • 3 Cups Distilled vinegar
  • 500 Gm Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 5 Tablespoons Honey
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 7 Cloves Fresh garlic

Instructions

  • Put fresh cayenne pepper, vinegar and garlic cloves in a saucepan and boil for 15 minutes
  • Let it cool and blend it smoothly
  • Put it again on tha pan. Add mayonnaise, salt and honey. Stir for 10 minutes on medium flame
  • Let it cool down. And then strain it with a strainer
  • And Tada! Your Schlotzsky’s signature sauce is ready to spice up your favorite sandwich
  • Store it in an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator for later use

Notes

  • Ready for storage tips? You don’t need to do much. Just keep it in an airtight jar and store it in the fridge. It will remain fresh for up to two weeks.
 
  • Make sure to never keep the sauce out of the fridge for over 20 minutes.
 
  • You can adjust the use of salt according to your taste.
 
  • Try to use organic honey for better health benefits.
 
  • Use eggless mayonnaise, if you have egg allergies.
 
  • To sustain the sauce’s quality, stir it before serving it. This will work for balancing the density and temperature making it durable. 
 
  • You can use cumin powder if you like the flavor of cumin in the sauce.
