Ingredients

  • 2 Garlic Whole
  • 1 Teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 & ½ Tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 & ½ Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Mixed Peppercorns
  • 1 Pinch Ground Nutmeg

Instructions

  • Set the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • To get to the seeds, cut off the top third of each garlic head.
  • Add just enough water to cover the bottom of a small baking dish.
  • Cover the garlic with a lid or piece of paper and add some olive oil on top of it.
  • For 45 minutes, put it in a hot oven.
  • Put the butter in a pot and melt it over medium-low heat. Keep the garlic baking.
  • When you mix the Flour and milk in a different bowl, make sure there are no lumps.
  • When the butter starts to melt, add this mix to the pan.
  • Bring the mix to a boil while turning it all the time. The sauce should get thick after about 5 minutes of cooking.
  • Take the garlic cloves out of their skins and mash them after baking.
  • Mash the garlic and add it to the sauce. Season with salt, ground pepper, and ground nutmeg.
