Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp Dark Brown Sugar
  • 4 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 2 Tbsp Coarse Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tsp Cumin
  • 1 Tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper

Instructions

  • Gather all the things you need in a bowl. Make sure everything is well mixed. Make sure that all of the brown sugar is broken up.
  • Store in a jar with a lid. To use, sprinkle and rub the meat with it right before cooking or frying.

Notes

As much as possible, use the best foods.
Spices lose a lot of their smell and taste after 9 months of being open.
Grind up some fresh cilantro, black pepper, and other herbs and spices.
Don't have a spice grinder? You can use a small coffee grinder instead. Herbs smell so much better when they are just ground up.
You can make grub rub ahead of time and use it later, but you should mix it quickly right before you use it.
Grub rub should not be put right on top of direct heat when grilling meat. Instead, it should be cooked away from it. If you use direct heat, the grub rub will burn instead of turning into a caramel.
