Ingredients

  • 8 Ounces Ghost Peppers
  • 5 Cloves Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Honey
  • 3 Tablespoons Dark Rum
  • 1.5 Cups Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Salt To Taste
  • 1 Tsp Lime Juice

Method

  1. To a large bowl toss ghost peppers, garlic, basil, brown sugar, honey and rum. Perfectly mix.
  2. Reserving any liquid from the bowl, spread the mixture over a baking sheet.
  3. At 350 degrees F., roast in the oven for 12 minutes.
  4. Cool slightly then put the mixture—with the reserved liquid, apple cider vinegar, and salt to taste—into a food processor. Until smooth, keep working.
  5. After swirling lime juice, pour the sauce into a glass container or bottle. For the flavors to meld, cover and let it sit at least 24 hours or more.
