Ingredients

  • 8 Ounces Ghost Peppers
  • 5 Cloves Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Honey
  • 3 Tablespoons Dark Rum
  • 1.5 Cups Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Salt To Taste
  • 1 Tsp Lime Juice

Instructions

  • To a large bowl toss ghost peppers, garlic, basil, brown sugar, honey and rum. Perfectly mix.
  • Reserving any liquid from the bowl, spread the mixture over a baking sheet.
  • At 350 degrees F., roast in the oven for 12 minutes.
  • Cool slightly then put the mixture—with the reserved liquid, apple cider vinegar, and salt to taste—into a food processor. Until smooth, keep working.
  • After swirling lime juice, pour the sauce into a glass container or bottle. For the flavors to meld, cover and let it sit at least 24 hours or more.
