Ingredients

  • 1 Lb Boneless & Skinless Chicken Thighs
  • ¼ Cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • 1 Tablespoon Gochujang
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger
  • ¼ Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Tsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Tsp Green Onions
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  • Mix honey, gochujang, sesame oil,  soy sauce, rice vinegar,  black pepper, grated ginger, and sliced garlic in a bowl to marinate chicken
  • Combine the marinade to cover the chicken thighs
  • Ensure flavor penetration by sealing and chilling for 30–120 minutes
  • Heat a large skillet with a little vegetable oil over medium-high heat to cook the chicken
  • Place the marinated chicken thighs in a skillet over a preheated heat source
  • The steaks should be cooked through and browned after 5–7 minutes per side
  • While the inside remains juicy, the strong heat at the end aids in the desirable char
  • To allow the liquids to be reabsorbed, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside for about five minutes
  • Chop the chicken into small, consistent pieces
  • Bibibop chicken pairs best with steaming rice or noodles
  •  For garnish, add chopped green onions and sesame seeds for texture
  • You can also add other sides, such as shredded carrots or cucumber, for a refreshing crunch
