Brown the beef in a saucepan over medium heat, breaking it up into small crumbles.
Add chopped onion and garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant.
Stir in tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
Pour in broth, Worcestershire, vinegar, and sugar. Stir well.
Simmer on low heat for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Optional: Blend for a smoother consistency.
