Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Fresh Strawberries
  • Cup Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 Teaspoons Cornstarch

Instructions

  • Mix cut strawberries, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 1/3 cup sugar in a medium pot
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring regularly
  • Reduce heat to a simmer and whisk occasionally until sauce thickens, 20–23 minutes
  • After turning off the heat, let it cool to room temperature
  • Remember that the sauce thickens slightly as it cools and more in the fridge
