- 1 Pound Fresh Strawberries
- ⅓ Cup Sugar
- 2 Teaspoons Lemon Juice
- 1 Teaspoons Cornstarch
Mix cut strawberries, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and 1/3 cup sugar in a medium pot
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring regularly
Reduce heat to a simmer and whisk occasionally until sauce thickens, 20–23 minutes
After turning off the heat, let it cool to room temperature
Remember that the sauce thickens slightly as it cools and more in the fridge
