Ingredients

  • ¼ Cup Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • ½ Tsp Dried Oregano
  • ½ Tsp Kosher Salt
  • ¼ Tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 Italian Bread
  • ¼ Cup Mayonnaise
  • ¼ Lb. Salami
  • ¼ Lb. Pepperoni
  • ¼ Lb. Capicola Or Ham
  • ¼ Lb. Mortadella Or Bologna
  • ¼ Lb. Provolone Cheese
  • 3 Cups Shredded Lettuce
  • 1 Medium Tomato
  • ¼ Cup Red Onion
  • ½ Cup Black Olives
  • ½ Cup Pickled Banana Peppers

Instructions

Make a dressing

  • put olive oil, vinegar, parmesan, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper in a tight-fitting container
  • Shake well to combine

Set The Bread

  • Set the bread loaf perpendicular to you on a chopping board
  • Slice the bread lengthwise
  • Leave a 1/2-inch border around the edges and hollow off 1 inch of the bread's interior from the top and bottom

Spread Mayonnaise

  • Spread mayonnaise on the sliced bottom half of the loaf
  • Fold or shingle salami slices to make a homogeneous layer
  • Next, add provolone, mortadella, capicola, and pepperoni

Adds Veggies and Dressing

  • Top with banana peppers, tomato, red onion, olives, and shredded lettuce
  • For the sandwich's vegetables, sprinkle half the dressing; keep the other half for serving
  • Fold the bread top over the vegetables gently

Cut The Sandwich & Serve

  • Place eight 6-inch skewers 1 1/2 inches apart in the sandwich
  • Cut between skewers with a sharp knife to portion
  • Serve immediately
