- 1½ Cups Smoked Gouda Shredded
- 1 Cup Whole Milk
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 2 Tbsp All-purpose Flour
- 1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Dijon Mustard Optional
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- Black Pepper As per taste
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Whisk in the flour and stir for 1–2 minutes until slightly golden.
Slowly pour in the milk, whisking constantly. Simmer until it thickens about 3 minutes.
Reduce heat to low. Add smoked Gouda in handfuls, stirring until smooth.
Mix in garlic, mustard, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Serve warm or store in an airtight jar for up to 5 days in the fridge.
