Ingredients

  • Cups Smoked Gouda Shredded
  • 1 Cup Whole Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Tbsp All-purpose Flour
  • 1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Dijon Mustard Optional
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • Black Pepper As per taste

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Whisk in the flour and stir for 1–2 minutes until slightly golden.
  • Slowly pour in the milk, whisking constantly. Simmer until it thickens about 3 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low. Add smoked Gouda in handfuls, stirring until smooth.
  • Mix in garlic, mustard, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Serve warm or store in an airtight jar for up to 5 days in the fridge.
