- 6 Oz Tomato Paste
- 3/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/2 Cup Bourbon Or Whiskey
- 1/4 Cup Molasses
- 1/2 Teaspoon Hot Sauce
- 1/2 Teaspoon Liquid Smoke Optional
- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Tablespoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Dry Mustard Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin
- 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
Combine all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan and whisk until smooth.
Place over medium heat and bring to a slow boil, stirring constantly, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until foaming stops and the mixture is slightly thickened to the desired consistency.
Use right away, or cool and transfer to a jar or airtight container to chill for up to 1-2 weeks.
