Ingredients

  • 6 Oz Tomato Paste
  • 3/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Bourbon Or Whiskey
  • 1/4 Cup Molasses
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Hot Sauce
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Liquid Smoke Optional
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Dry Mustard Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan and whisk until smooth.
  • Place over medium heat and bring to a slow boil, stirring constantly, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until foaming stops and the mixture is slightly thickened to the desired consistency.
  • Use right away, or cool and transfer to a jar or airtight container to chill for up to 1-2 weeks.
