Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Root Beer Regular, Not Diet
  • 1 Cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt Adjust to Taste
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
  • A Pinch Cayenne Pepper Optional

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir well and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Let cool, then store in a jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
