Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1/2 Cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Chopped Onion
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Celery
  • 1/2 Cup  Green Bell Pepper
  • 3-4 Cloves Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp Cajun Seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste Optional
  • 3 Cups Chicken or Seafood Stock
  • 1/2 Pound Shrimp or Crawfish Optional
  • Salt and Black Pepper As per taste
  • 1 Tbsp Green Onions and Parsley

Method
 

  1. Prepare a roux by cooking butter and flour until golden.
  2. Sauté the holy trinity – onion, celery, and bell pepper until soft.
  3. Add garlic, tomato paste, and Cajun seasoning for that bold flavor.
  4. Pour it into stock and simmer, letting it thicken into a rich sauce.
  5. Add seafood, herbs, and serve hot over fluffy white sauce.
