At first, blanch the tomatoes in boiling water for 30 – 60 seconds and immerge them into cold water immediately to soften them. Then remove the peel and crush the tomatoes to make a paste.
Secondly, saute the chopped onion and garlic nicely.
Thirdly, add the tomato paste and season with salt and sugar. Don’t forget to stir properly.
Fourthly, simmer the sauce to thicken it into desire consistency.
After simmering, add some fresh basil leaves and stir for a few minutes.
If you want a smooth mixture, you can blend the sauce before serving.
Finally, the pomodoro sauce is ready to enjoy with your favorite pasta.
