Method
- In a saucepan, combine tomato paste, brown sugar, honey (maple syrup), water and molasses.
- Stir in smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and salt.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring often. Once it starts to bubble reduce to low heat.
- Simmer for 10-12 minutes until thickened. Adjust with water if needed.
- Taste and tweak seasoning if desired.
- Let cool, then store in an airtight container in the fridge.
