Method
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a low simmer over medium heat.
- Stir occasionally until sugar dissolves and garlic softens; about 5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let it cool slightly before using
- Keep the sauce warm during cooking, or pour it into a spray bottle or mop container.
- Apply to pork every 45–60 minutes during smoking, starting after the first hour.
