Ingredients

  • 15 Oz No-added Tomato Paste
  • 2 Cups Low-sodium Vegetable or Chicken Broth
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbsp All-purpose Flour
  • 2 Tbsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 Tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 Tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Tsp Apple Cider Vinegar

Instructions

  • First, heat olive oil in a saucepan on a medium heat.
  • Add flour to the oil, and whisk it until it forms a roux. Cook it for 1 minute.
  • Now add chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Stir everything for 1 minute.
  • Gradually add tomato sauce and broth while whisking so that it turns out smooth.
  • Add apple cider vinegar, stir it, and let the mixture simmer in a low heat.
  • Let the sauce cook for 10 to 15 minutes. And you must stir it continuously after some time until it gets thickened.
  • Now let the sauce cool and store it in the fridge.
