Method
- Add all the ingredients to a small saucepan.
- Set the heat to medium and stir until everything is well combined.
- Let it simmer gently for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust — more vinegar for tang, more sugar or molasses for sweetness.
- (Optional) Blend for extra smoothness using an immersion or regular blender.
- Let the sauce cool, then transfer it to a jar or bottle.
- Refrigerate overnight to let the flavours fully develop.
