Method
- In a small saucepan, combine the cream, golden syrup, cocoa powder, brown sugar, salt, and half of the chocolate
- Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a slow simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring regularly
- Remove the saucepan from the heat
- Stir in the remaining chocolate, vanilla, butter, and salt until thoroughly combined and melted
- Allow it to cool for 20 to 30 minutes, during which time it will thicken even more
