Ingredients

  • Cup Heavy Cream
  • ½ Cup Light Corn Syrup
  • Cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Cocoa Powder
  • ¼ Teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 6 Ounces Bittersweet Chocolate
  • 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine the cream, golden syrup, cocoa powder, brown sugar, salt, and half of the chocolate
  • Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a slow simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring regularly
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat
  • Stir in the remaining chocolate, vanilla, butter, and salt until thoroughly combined and melted
  • Allow it to cool for 20 to 30 minutes, during which time it will thicken even more
