Wondering about what to serve this spicy avocado sauce with? From sandwich spread to salad dressing, it goes well with almost every savory recipe.
Store it in the refrigerator and enjoy it for up to 5 days. Do not freeze it, otherwise it’ll lose taste and color. Also, it can’t be canned.
Make it mild, spicy or creamier. Use more sour cream, lime, and jalapenos according to your taste.
If you are counting your calories, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream
Use ripe avocados to gain the smooth texture of the sauce.
Don’t skip the use of lemon juice. The acidity of lemon keeps the gorgeous green color of the sauce intact for longer.
Use fresh cilantro. Dried or frozen cilantro won’t give you the desired color and taste in the sauce.
Roast tomatillos and jalapenos before blending for a smokey flavor if you want.
