- 1/4 Cup Tamarind Paste
- 1 Cup Water
- 2-3 Tbsp Brown Sugar or Coconut Sugar
- 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Ginger Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Chilli Flakes Optional
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Gluten-free Soy Sauce or Tamari Optional
Take a saucepan. Add tamarind paste and water there. Stir them over a low heat.
Add sugar and all the spices in the pan. Then add vinegar and soy sauce there (if using).
Cook everything on a medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Also, stir them continuously.
Taste the sauce. See if its sweetness, sourness, and everything else are perfect or not.
Lastly, cool down the sauce, pour it into a glass jar, and store it in the refrigerator.
