Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Tamarind Paste
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 2-3 Tbsp Brown Sugar or Coconut Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Ginger Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Chilli Flakes Optional
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Gluten-free Soy Sauce or Tamari Optional

Instructions

  • Take a saucepan. Add tamarind paste and water there. Stir them over a low heat.
  • Add sugar and all the spices in the pan. Then add vinegar and soy sauce there (if using).
  • Cook everything on a medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Also, stir them continuously.
  • Taste the sauce. See if its sweetness, sourness, and everything else are perfect or not.
  • Lastly, cool down the sauce, pour it into a glass jar, and store it in the refrigerator.
