- 2 Tbsp White Sugar
- 2 Tsp Salt
- 1½ Tsp Celery Seed
- 1/2 Tsp Cumin
- 1/2 Tsp Ground Red Pepper
- 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Chilli Powder
- 2 Cups Ketchup
- 1/2 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 Tsp Liquid Smoke
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar Optional
- 1/2 Tsp Onion Powder Optional
- A Pinch Black Pepper Optional
Mix spices in a small bowl.
Combine ketchup, vinegar, lemon juice, and liquid smoke in a saucepan.
Add spice mix and optional ingredients; stir well.
Simmer on low heat for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cool and store in a clean jar in the fridge.
