Method
- Combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, and salt in a saucepan.
- Put it on a medium heat and stir often until it simmers. Cook for 8-10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla extract while stirring.
- Adjust the consistency by adding water if needed, one tablespoon at a time.
- Cool and pour into a clean jar or bottle.
