Method
- Melt the sugar over medium heat in a medium saucepan. Stir constantly until it turns amber in color.
- Add butter to the melted sugar. Stir until fully incorporated.
- Pour in heavy cream slowly while stirring continuously. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes to thicken.
- Stir in salt and vanilla extract. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Cool slightly before using. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Reheat as needed.
