Ingredients
  

  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Whole Milk
  • 4 Oz Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1 Cup Shredded Pepper Jack Cheese
  • ½ Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 3 Medium Jalapeños

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat
  2. Once melted, add the flour and whisk continuously for about 1-2 minutes until it forms a paste (roux). This will help thicken the sauce
  3. Gradually pour in the milk while whisking to prevent lumps. Continue to stir until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble gently
  4. Reduce the heat to low and add the softened cream cheese. Stir until it melts completely into the sauce
  5. Slowly add the shredded pepper jack cheese, stirring constantly until it melts and the sauce is smooth
  6. Mix in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed
  7. If desired, stir in diced jalapeños or bell peppers for extra flavor and texture
  8. Pour the creamy pepper jack cheese sauce over cooked chicken breasts or use it as a dip or topping for other dishes
