Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add tomato paste and crushed tomatoes. Stir well to combine.
Stir in onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
Let the sauce simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes. Occasionally stir.
If the sauce is too thick, add water. Stir to reach the desired consistency.
Taste and adjust seasonings. If needed, add more herbs, salt, or sugar.
Cool slightly before spreading on your pizza dough. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
