Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Fresh or Frozen Blackberries
  • 1/2 Cup Red Wine
  • 2 Tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Shallots or Red Onion
  • 1 Tsp Fresh Thyme
  • 1 Tsp Lemon Juice Optional
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper Powder

Method
 

  1. Initially, collect and prepare all the ingredients according to the ingredient list.
  2. Then, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the shallots for 2 minutes until it become soft.
  3. Then, add the red wine, honey, blackberries (Fresh or Frozen), and thyme into the sautéed aromatics. Stir continuously to mix them well.
  4. After that simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes is you use fresh blackberries. Simmer a few minutes longer if you use frozen blackberries.
  5. The berries will become soft and break down easily that will help to thicken the sauce.
  6. However, using a blender to blend the mixture will assist you to get a smooth sauce. Then, strain the mixture to remove the seeds from the sauce.
  7. Again place the sauce into the saucepan, season the sauce by stirring with lemon juice, salt, and black pepper powder, simmer for 2 more minutes.
  8. The sauce is ready, remove the saucepan from and pour the sauce in a bowl.
  9. Serve the sauce with your favorite pork dish and enjoy 5-star-hotel-like pork dish at home.
