- 1 Lb Italian Sausage
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 4 Cloves Garlic Minced
- 1 Medium Onion Chopped
- 1 Can Crushed Tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
- 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional
- Salt And Pepper As Per Taste
- 1 Tbsp Fresh Basil Optional, Chopped
Break the sausage with a spoon and cook it in olive oil over medium-high heat until it turns brown. Remove unwanted grease.
Add onions and garlic and saute until softened.
Stir the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste to mix. Let them simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Add Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Garnish with fresh basil and serve over pasta, pizza, or any of your favorite savory dishes.
