Ingredients
  

  • 15-20 Dried Chile De Árbol Peppers
  • 3-4 Cloves Garlic Peeled
  • 1/4 Medium Onion Roughly Chopped
  • 1 Small Tomato Optional
  • 1/4 Cup White or Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Water or Vegetable Stock Adjust as needed
  • 1/2-1 Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Lime Juice Optional

Method
 

  1. Toast the dried chiles lightly in a dry pan.
  2. Soak the toasted chiles in hot water for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Sauté garlic, onion, and tomato (if using) until soft.
  4. Blend soaked chiles, sautéed veggies, vinegar, salt, and water until smooth.
  5. Strain the sauce for a smoother texture (optional).
  6. Stir in lime juice and adjust seasoning to taste.
  7. Store in a clean jar in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
